Real Madrid boss, Carlo Ancelotti has hailed two of his players Eduardo Camavinga and Federico Valverde following his side’s UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second leg win against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.

Ancelotti said both Camavinga and Valverde played really well offensively and defensively against Atletico.

Ancelotti’s side defeated Atletico 4-2 on penalties following a 2-2 draw aggregate.

The Los Blancos had won the first leg 2-1 last week while Atletico won the second leg 1-0.

Speaking at his post-match interview, Ancelotti said: “He [Camavinga] brought out his best in the toughest of games.

“He’s dropped off a bit in recent matches but he brought so much to the team today.

“Tchouameni was on a booking and I opted to change him because of the risk of the Atlético counters.

“Valverde and Camavinga played really well both offensively and defensively.”

Real Madrid will now face Arsenal in the quarter-final stage next month.
