Transfer: Four clubs ready to pay Osimhen’s wage
At least four clubs are ready to pay Napoli striker Victor Osimhen the wages he is demanding to make a summer move.
This was revealed by Nigerian broadcast journalist Onyebuchi Onokala, also known as Buchi Laba.
Osimhen is believed to have turned down a salary of €40 million per year and €5 million in bonuses from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.
According to Buchi Laba, Osimhen’s demands are not unrealistic, and there are teams willing to pay.
He wrote on X on Friday: “There’s so much less talk about clubs not willing to pay Gyökeres’ release clause, more than so much foolish talk that clubs don’t want to pay Victor Osimhen’s wages.
“No club has issues with his release clause and I can count four clubs willing to pay him the wages he’s currently on. Some even more.
“One of the main reasons why Victor Osimhen’s wages became a talking point is because of Nigerians.
“We are not as smart as we claim to be. Honestly. Especially the ones in suits.”
