Ronaldo not indicating exit plans from Al-Nassr – Luis Castro

Former Al-Nassr coach, Luis Castro has insisted that captain Cristiano Ronaldo has not hinted at an exit from the Saudi Pro Lig club.

Castro said that the “new chapter is closed” post Ronaldo posted on his social media account is related to the season and not about him leaving Al-Nassr to join a new club.

Ronaldo had following his side’s 3-2 defeat against Al-Fateh in their last game of the Saudi Pro Lig season earlier this week, indicated that his time is “over” at Al-Nassr.

However, speaking to the media about Ronaldo’s post, Castro stated that the Portugal international was only pointing at the end of the season and not his time at Al Nassr.

Castro said (via The Nassr Zone): “Every season that ends is like a cycle that closes. That is how I see it.

“I don’t see it or interpret it the way many do. A chapter has closed, a football season has ended. We are going to start a new one.”

Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr a few years ago from after his contract with Manchester United was terminated.
