The Delta State Government has dissolved the entire management of Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) side, Delta Queens.

The dissolution was contained in a letter signed by the State Sports Commission Director of Public Relations, Frank Okonma.

Okonma stated that the move is aimed at rejuvenating the club’s dwindling fortunes after an underwhelming campaign.

“This dissolution is necessary to reposition the club for greater efficiency, professionalism, and competitiveness,” the statement reads.

“A new management board, technical crew, and a fresh set of players will be constituted shortly.”

Delta Queens finished the 2025 NWFL campaign in sixth position on the Group B table with 14 points.

They recorded four wins, two draws, and eight defeats.
