NPFL: Rangers to make up for league title miss with Federation Cup success – Obaje

Rangers forward, Godwin Obaje, is hopeful this team will make up for their failure to defend the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL title with a Federation Cup triumph.

The Flying Antelopes surrendered the league title to Remo Stars.

Rangers will square up against Kwara United in the semi-final of the President Federation Cup at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan on Wednesday, May 21.

Obaje admitted that the 2024-25 NPFL season wasn’t the best for the team.

“Football is like that. Sometimes it doesn’t go the way you planned,” Obaje told Completesports.

“It wasn’t the best of seasons for us. As defending champions, we wanted to do much better, but then, this is football, it doesn’t always go your way.

“But thank God we’re in the Federation Cup semi-finals. Hopefully, we’ll make amends and see if we can still end the season with something.”
