NPFL prepares for colourful trophy presentation for Remo Stars
The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has concluded plans to organise a colourful trophy presentation for 2024-25 champions Remo Stars.
The NPFL Chief Operating Officer,Davidson Owumi disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.
Owumi said that a joint team of the league body and Remo Stars management are putting finishing touches to the planned trophy presentation ceremony.
He stated that there is a slight adjustment to the kickoff time of the matchday 37 fixture between Remo Stars and Ikorodu City.
The match which is billed for the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne has been brought forward to 3pm on Sunday May, 11.
“There obviously would many fans of both clubs travelling from Lagos for this match,” Owumi explained.
“In addition, we would be having dignitaries arriving through Lagos, and it will be very ideal for them to travel back under bright light of the day for safety reasons.”
Remo Stars will trade tackles with El-Kanemi Warriors in a matchday 36 fixture in Maiduguri on Wednesday.
