NPFL: Obot leaves Enyimba after successful spell
Home-based Super Eagles defender Imo Obot has left Enyimba following the expiration of his contract.
Obot linked up with Enyimba from Nigeria National League, NNL, club, Dakkada FC in 2020.
The left-back established himself as one of the best defenders in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, during his time with Enyimba.
He holds the record for most free-kick goals by a defender in the NPFL over the past three seasons.
Obot won the NPFL title with the People Elephants three years ago.
The player has attracted the interest of Rivers United, who are managed by former Enyimba head coach Finidi George.
