NPFL: Kano Pillars chief evaluates 2024/25 season

Kano Pillars believe that late preparations and the late appointment of a technical adviser were the reasons for the club’s failure to achieve their target in the 2024–25 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season.

The Sai Masu Gida finished the campaign in ninth position with 53 points from 38 matches.

Kano Pillars chairman, Alhaji Ali Muhammad Umar, disclosed this in a statement.

Umar revealed that they have already started preparations for the new season, as they are committed to building a stronger squad.

“Despite a challenging start marked by late preparations and the late appointment of a technical adviser,” Umar stated,

“Kano Pillars FC emerged as one of the most exciting teams of the season, finishing 9th on the NPFL table with 53 points from 38 matches, a six-point improvement from the previous campaign.

“Now, as the curtains fall on 2024/2025, the work for next season has already begun. We are fully committed to rebuilding a stronger squad, one that can not only challenge for the NPFL title but also go all the way in the FA Cup.

“The recruitment process is ongoing, with strategic additions aimed at returning the club to the pinnacle of Nigerian football.”
