NPFL: El-Kanemi Warriors embark on one-week break
El-Kanemi Warriors have embarked on a one-week break following the conclusion of the first stanza of the 2024/25 season.
The Borno Army made the announcement in a statement on social media.
The players are expected to return to training on January 7, 2025, where they will continue their preparations for the second stanza of the league.
The second half of the season will commence on January 19.
El-Kanemi Warriors defeated Kano Pillars 1-0 in a matchday 19 fixture at the El Kanemi Sports Complex in Maiduguri on Sunday.
Aliyu Zubairu’s side currently occupy fifth position on the league table with 29 points.
El-Kanemi Warriors will battle with Kano Pillars in a reverse fixture at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano when the season resumes.
