NNL: Aondona wins Sporting Lagos Player of the Month award

Jacob Aondona has won Nigeria National League, NNL, side, Sporting Lagos’ Player of the Month award for May.

Aondona beat Abraham Idakwo, Babatunde Akomolede, and Thompson Gavi to the award.

He was a rock in the heart of Sporting Lagos’ defence during the month.

Aondona also recorded an assist in the period under review.

Sporting Lagos failed to secure an NNL playoff ticket at the end of the 2025 season.

The modest club recorded nine wins, five draws, and six defeats in 20 matches.
