Gateway United head coach Festus Allen has admitted that the club’s matchday 17 win over First Bank FC was tough.

The Abeokuta-based club defeated First Bank 3-2 at the Otunba Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu-Ode.

Allen said that the victory was a result of hard work from the players.

The veteran tactician assured that his team will continue to get better.

“It was definitely an absorbing and pulsating game,” Allen told the club’s media after the game.

“The boys gave their all, as always. We’re thrilled to have secured the maximum points—it’s a testament to the hard work we’re putting in.

“It keeps getting better, and we’ll continue to take it one game at a time, I want to sincerely thank our supporters for their unwavering faith in us. We won’t let them down.”
