The Nationwide League One, NLO, has suspended the head coach of HBR FC of Kano, Sanusi Kwayo, from participating in the 2025 season.

Kwayo was accused of hooliganism in HBR FC’s Matchday Two fixture against Wudil FC at the Danbatta Centre.

The NLO stated that the act is a direct violation of the league’s code of conduct and disciplinary regulations.

The league’s Chief Operating Officer, Olusola Ogunnowo, issued the suspension through the Kano State Football Association on Tuesday.

The suspension takes immediate effect, pending further disciplinary proceedings.

The NLO reiterated its commitment to promoting discipline, professionalism, and fair play in Nigerian football.
