Remo Stars forward Sikiru Alimi has received the sum of N1.5 million owed him by his former employers, Shooting Stars Sports Club.

Alimi featured for Shooting Stars during the 2023-24 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL season.

The veteran forward was reportedly owed several months’ salary by Shooting Stars.

DAILY POST recalls that the Nigeria Football Federation Players Status and Arbitration Committee had ruled in favour of the striker being paid by Shooting Stars.

In a letter addressed to the secretary of the committee, Ogbemudia Endurance Iseri, legal representative of Alimi, acknowledged the receipt of the judgement sum.

“The above subject refers. We are legal representative to the Claimant, Player Alimi Sikiru Adewale, as it relates to the above-mentioned decision,” the acknowledgement letter stated.

“We write to notify you that our client, Alimi Sikiru Adewale, acknowledges receipt of the judgement sum of N1,500,000 due to him from 3SC.”
