The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has extended the tenure of the boards of Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, Nigeria National League, NNL, and the Nigeria Nationwide League One, NLO.

The boards’ tenure has been extended until Saturday, September 29, 2026.

DAILY POST reports that the current tenure of the boards expired on Monday, June 30, 2025.

Gbenga Elegbeleye (NPFL), George Aluo (NNL), and Silas Ali Agara (NLO) head the boards respectively.

Meanwhile, NFF has deferred the decision on the board of the Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, headed by Ms Nkechi Nneka Obi, to a later date.

Bayelsa Queens won the NWFL title last season.
