Nations League final: Yamal predicts Spain vs Portugal match
Spain international, Lamine Yamal has predicted that his side’s UEFA Nations League final with Portugal will be just like their encounter against France in the semi-final stage.
Recall that Spain defeated France 5-4 in the Nations League last-4 tie on Thursday night in Germany.
Yamal scored a brace during the encounter at the MHP Arena Stadium in Stuttgart.
The victory ensured Spain will now face Portugal in the Nations League final on Sunday.
Recall that Portugal had defeated Germany 2-1 in the semi-final encounter played on Wednesday.
Speaking after the game, Yamal told RTVE post-match: “France is a great team, they make you suffer, it’s normal.
“They have players who make you suffer until the end. But we are very happy with the victory.”
When asked about Sunday’s final clash with Portugal, the Barcelona winger added: “It will be the same as this match [Spain vs France], with players of great world class.
“We are very good teams and I hope to take the Cup to Spain.”
