AS Roma midfielder Manu Kone has named two players who can win the Ballon d’Or this year.
According to the 24-year-old, the two players are Paris Saint-Germain’s Ousmane Dembele and Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe.
Kone added that both Mbappe and Dembele are great players in the game.
Interestingly, Kone, Mbappe and Dembele are all international teammates with the France national team.
“Ballon d’Or? There are two great Frenchmen who can win it: one at PSG [Dembele], one at Real Madrid [Mbappe],” Kone was quoted by Madrid Zone as saying.
“I am voting for both,” he added.
Dembele is one of the favourites to win the Ballon d’Or after guiding PSG to win their first ever UEFA Champions League trophy over the weekend, thanks to a 5-0 win against Inter Milan.
Mbappe, on the other hand, is another contender for the award after winning the Europe Golden Shoe for the top scorer award in the continent this season.
The winner of the 2025 Ballon d’Or will be announced in September.
