LaLiga: Pimienta backs ‘proven player’ Iheanacho to come good at Sevilla

Sevilla manager Garcia Pimienta has once again backed Kelechi Iheanacho to deliver the goods for the club.

Iheanacho is yet to hit top form since linking up with the Rojiblancos on a free transfer in the summer.

The Nigeria international has made one start for Sevilla, who are hovering around the relegation zone.

Ahead of his side’s clash with Real Valladolid at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium on Tuesday (today) Pimienta praised Iheanacho and claimed he has the quality to do well at the club.

“Everyone, whoever plays up front tomorrow has to do well. Kelechi is a proven player, Pimienta told the club’s official website.

“The other day he had a difficult game because he came on without warming up. Just like the rest, he has to take a step forward because he has the quality to do it at Sevilla.”
