LaLiga: Mbappe’s ban confirmed

Real Madrid forward, Kylian Mbappé, has received a one-game ban following his red card in the 1-0 victory over Alavés on Sunday.

Mbappé was given his marching orders within 40 minutes of the La Liga match for a high challenge on Antonio Blanco.

It was believed that the French forward would be handed a lengthy suspension, which would have dealt a significant blow to the Spanish giants in their bid to retain the league title.

However, the Spanish Football Federation, RFEF Disciplinary Committee has imposed only a one-match
suspension.

This means Mbappé will be available for selection when Los Blancos face Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final on 26 April.

Mbappé is, however, expected to start their UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg against Arsenal at the Bernabéu on Wednesday night.
