Kwara United players get N5m each for winning President Federation Cup

Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has approved N5m reward for each player and technical crew of Kwara United football club for winning the 2025 President Federation Cup.

The Harmony Boys defeated Abakaliki FC 4-3 on penalities in the final of the competition in June.

It is the first time Kwara United will be winning the oldest football competition in Nigeria.

The Ilorin club will feature in the CAF Confederation Cup next season as part of their reward for winning the President Federation Cup.

Governor Abdulrazaq’s gesture will serve as a big morale booster for the team as they look to win more silverware in the upcoming campaign.

The preliminary draw for the CAF Confederation Cup will hold this month.
