Ideye scores again as Enyimba beat Nasarawa 2-1 in Aba

Former Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye and mercurial player Joseph Atule scored one goal each for Enyimba FC in a Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, match in Aba on Wednesday.

The victory comes just three days after the Elephants defeated Black Bulls of Mozambique in Uyo in a CAF Confederation Cup game.

Atule scored in the first half for the home team, while Ideye found the back of the net in the 61st minute, shortly after Nasarawa had equalised.

The goal sparked spontaneous jubilation among the home fans, who celebrated Enyimba’s rediscovery of its goal-scoring form.

The frontlines of both Enyimba and Nasarawa created several goal-scoring opportunities in the second half but failed to convert them.

Enyimba recently hired the services of Stanley Eguma after parting ways with Coach Yemi Olarenwaju.
