Portuguese agent, Jorge Mendes has advised Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal to follow the foot-step of Cristiano Ronaldo as his idol in football.
Yamal has been impressive for both club and country so far this year.
The 17-year-old won the 2024 Golden Boy award given to the most young best player in the world football.
“I don’t like to make comparisons, but without a doubt, Cristiano is a good example to follow, not only for Lamine but for all young people,” Mendes told Tuttosport.
“If he follows his example on and off the pitch, he will surely be at the top of world football in the next 20 years.”
Ronaldo, 39, has won five Ballon d’Or awards in his career so far.
The Portugal international currently plays for Al-Nassr.
