Friendly: Portugal’s key midfielder ruled out of Super Falcons clash
Portugal will be without key midfielder Kika Nazareth for Monday’s international friendly against the Super Falcons of Nigeria.
The highly anticipated friendly is slated for the Estadio Jose Gomes in Amadora.
It will serve as part of the Super Falcons’ preparation for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations
On their part, the Portuguese will use it to get in shape for the 2025 European Women’s Championship.
According to Portuguese sports daily, A Bola, Kika is not fit enough for the game.
The Barcelona Ladies attacking midfielder ruptured her ligament injury in March, and is working her back to full fitness.
She has been named in Portugal’s provisional squad for the European Championship.
