Former Manchester United defender, Quinton Fortune, has said that Cristiano Ronaldo could jump on the opportunity to return to the club.
Cristiano, a legend at Old Trafford, having had two outstanding stints at the club, would be returning not as a player but as a part owner, according to Fortune.
Ronaldo, who joined the Red Devils in the summer of 2003, won his very first Ballon d’Or while at the club.
In his six years under manager, Alex Ferguson, at Old Trafford, the Portuguese became one of the world’s best players.
During this period, the legendary Portuguese netted 118 times and won three straight Premier League and one UEFA Champions League title.
He returned to the club in 2021 having painted Spain and Italy red with Real Madrid and Juventus.
This time, he managed just 27 times in one and a half seasons and fell out with then boss Erik ten Hag.
This led to his departure to Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League in December 2022 as a free agent.
Fortune foresees Ronaldo as a part-owner of Manchester United, telling BoyleSports, “At Manchester United, I could see him as a part owner.
“Financially, anything is possible because he loves the club. The club still loves him with the amazing memories he created there.
“If he got an opportunity behind the scenes, I think he’d jump to be a part of it.”
Clubs in Brazil and Saudi Arabia are said to be interested in signing Cristiano Ronaldo this summer if he decides to leave his current side.
