Arsenal midfielder, Declan Rice has admitted that the Gunners need to be competing for titles.

Rice said this while suggesting that the Premier League North London club needs to sign new players in the summer transfer window ahead id next season.

The England international spoke after leading Arsenal to beat Newcastle United in the Premier League on Sunday.

Recall that a second half goal from Rice gave Arsenal a 1-0 win against Newcastle at Emirates Stadium.

Speaking after the game, Rice told Sky Sports: “Hopefully we strengthen in the summer, we sign more players, because we are probably going to lose a few.

“With the team we have got, with the manager we have got, we need to be competing for titles.

“Next year, we will be back.”

Arsenal will end this season trophyless after failing to win the Premier League title.
