Arsenal legend Ian Wright has said Marcus Rashford could sign for Newcastle United.
Wright also feels there is “no chance” the Manchester United forward, who is on loan at Aston Villa, will return to Old Trafford.
Rashford’s loan spell at Villa Park will end in June, and he has enjoyed an encouraging stint at the Midlands club.
However, Villa are not obligated to sign Rashford on a permanent transfer, despite having the option to do so for around £40 million.
“It’s the kind of signing Newcastle should be making,” Wright said on his Ringer FC podcast.
“That would be amazing. That would be dangerous. Rashford at Newcastle? Yeah. That would be really good. I really like that for Rashford. Rashford at Newcastle can be dangerous.”
When asked whether Rashford could yet return to United, Wright said: “Nope. No chance.”
