CWC: Chelsea drops Felix, Sterling from squad as Man City complete 4 signings in time
Chelsea have left out João Félix and Raheem Sterling from their squad for the FIFA Club World Cup.
The two stars will not be part of the Enzo Maresca’s squad for the tournament in the United States of America.
However, the Blues will look for solutions on the market for the Portuguese and Englishman.
Meanwhile, João Felix’s previous number 14 jersey will now be used by new signing Dário Essugo.
In a similar development, Manchester City have completed as many as four new signings in time for the FIFA Club World Cup.
They signed French star, Rayan Cherki from Ligue 1 side Lyon, Rayan Aït-Nouri from Wolves, Marcus Bettinelli from Chelsea and Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan.
Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola was disappointed with his team’s performance last season, including their FA Cup final defeat to Crystal Palace.
With the addition of some top players to the squad, the Spaniard appears ready to win trophies starting with the FIFA Club World Cup with begins in a few days time.
