Chelsea set price for Alejandro Garnacho after missing pre-season training
Chelsea are reportedly ready to sell Alejandro Garnacho this summer transfer window after the former Manchester United star failed to show for pre-season training.
It was reported in June that Chelsea were open to offers for Garnacho, though they were not actively seeking to sell him, ruling out any loan deal for the winger.
But it now seems his Blues career is already over, less than a year after swapping Old Trafford for Stamford Bridge in a £40million transfer.
New manager Xabi Alonso took charge of his first training session on Friday, with every player who did not travel to the 2026 World Cup reporting to Cobham, including England star Cole Palmer.

But Garnacho, who was not included in Argentina’s squad following a very disappointing first season in west London, was conspicuous by his absence.
It is not clear why exactly the 22-year-old was missing, with the Daily Mail reporting that Chelsea did not comment when asked about his non-appearance.
But unless it is injury-related, it is very likely that Garnacho is not in Alonso’s plans going forward, and that the club are stepping up efforts to sell him this summer.
Roma are the only club known to have concrete interest in the player, and Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea want €50million (£42.6m) to sell him to a foreign club.
But if another Premier League club wanted to take a punt on him, Todd Boehly and co. would demand £45m.
After being exiled from United by Ruben Amorim, Garnacho failed to live up to the hype in west London, recording just one goal and four assists in 24 Premier League appearances.
Last summer, Garnacho described his move to Chelsea as ‘incredible’ but is now said to be open to an exit.
It comes after the winger struggled for minutes toward the end of last season, starting just one of Chelsea’s last 12 games as they slumped toward a 10th place finish and lost the FA Cup final to Manchester City.
So far this summer, the Blues have already sold Marc Cucurella to Real Madrid and Tyrique George to Everton, while Andrey Santos is set to join Manchester United for £50m.
