Home-based Super Eagles captain, Junior Nduka has said the team can’t afford to end their campaign at the 2024 African Nations Championship with a defeat, DAILY POST reports.

Eric Chelle’s side have already been eliminated from the competition after losing their opening two fixtures to Senegal, and Sudan.

The West Africans are also yet to score in the tournament having let in five goals.

The Eagles will take on Congo in their last group game at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, Dar es Salaam on Tuesday (today).

Nduka declared that the players will give everything against the Congolese.

“We need a win for the country. We’ll give everything against Congo. The two defeats affected us, but we must bounce back,” the centre-back told CAFonline.

The game will kick-off at 6pm Nigerian time.
