CHAN: Nigeria under pressure – Super Eagles coach, Chelle
Super Eagles coach, Eric Chelle has admitted that the Nigeria team at the ongoing 2024 African Nations Championship, CHAN, is under pressure.
Recall that Nigeria lost 1-0 against Senegal in their first CHAN opener last week.
The Home Eagles will take on Sudan in their second group game tie on Tuesday evening.
Speaking at his pre-match interview, Chelle also admitted that Nigeria need to beat Sudan to put breathe more life in the group.
“To stay ambitious, we need to win this game against Sudan,” Chelle said.
“I know there is pressure on us, and it is normal. We are a big country, a great football nation, and we need to do better in the next game.
“If we get the three points after the game, it will breathe more life into the group.”
