Carabao Cup: Wolves coach hails Arokodare’s performance vs Everton

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach, Vitor Pereira has heaped plaudits on Tolu Arokodare for his impressive performance in the club’s Carabao Cup victory over Everton.

Arokodare opened his goal account for Wolves netting in the 2-0 victory at the Molineux.

Marshall Munetsi gave the Old God the lead in the first half.

Arokodare, who replaced Strand Larsen in the 68th minute doubled the lead three minutes from time.

The Nigeria international was slipped through on goal by Joao Gomes, and he slotted the ball home from inside the box.

Pereira believed the goal will boost the forward’s confidence.

“Tolu has settled in really well since arriving and tonight’s goal will five him confidence,”Pereira told the club’s official website.

“It’s always good for a striker to get off the mark early.”
