Ballon d’Or: ‘Amazing’ – Rodri reveals conversation with ex-Real Madrid player

Manchester City midfielder Rodri has revealed the conversation he had with Mateo Kovacic regarding Ballon d’Or parties in Madrid.
Rodri won the 2024 Ballon d’Or award ahead of Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior.
The Spain international is currently recovering from a leg injury and is expected to return to action later this year.
Speaking with AS, Rodri said he spoke with teammate Kovacic, who was a former Real Madrid player, because he has experience with Ballon d’Or parties in Madrid.
Recall that Kovacic was a Real Madrid player from 2015 to 2019 when his fellow Croatian countryman Luka Modric (2018) and Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo (2016 and 2017) won the Ballon d’Or awards.
The former Chelsea star experienced Ballon d’Or parties in Madrid, and it was an ‘amazing’ experience, according to Rodri.
“It is amazing. I was talking about it with Kovacic: he has experienced Ballon d’Or parties in Madrid, but he told me that he had never seen anything like it.
“Very few places treat players as City do. I will be eternally grateful for what they did,” Rodri said.
