Yobe: Gov Buni appoints ex-rep Ismaila Gadaka new Emir of Gudi
Following the demise of the Emir of Gudi last Thursday, the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, has approved the appointment of Hon. Ismaila Ahmed Gadaka as the new Mai Gudi.
The approval was announced in a statement by the Press Secretary to the Secretary to the Yobe State Government, Shuaibu Abdullahi, and made available to newsmen on Saturday.
According to the statement, the new emir, Hon. Ismaila Ahmed Gadaka, was a Member of the House of Representatives, Fika/Fune Federal Constituency, from 2011 to 2019.
“He also served as Hon. Commissioner in the Yobe State Government from 2007 to 2010 and he is the current Chairman of the Governing Council, Federal College of Education, Yawuri, Kebbi State, from 2024 to date.
“He is also the Chairman of the Local Government Project Monitoring and Evaluation Committee from 2024 to date.
“As a banker by profession, he had served in both UBA and Standard Trust Bank, where he rose to the position of Business Manager.
“He was also holding the traditional title of Yariman Gudi until his appointment today,” the statement added.
Recall that DAILY POST had reported that the late Emir, Alh. Isa Bunuwa Madugu Ibn Kaji, died in Abuja after a protracted illness.
