A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at the Mile 3 motor park in Diobu, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where a middle-aged woman collapsed and died inside a public toilet.

According to eyewitnesses, the woman, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, was paid to use the toilet but failed to come out after several minutes.

The officials in charge of the toilet became anxious and knocked on the door, but there was no response. They subsequently forced the door open and found the woman dead.

The Chairman of the Mile 3 Park toilet, Chigozie Amadi, confirmed the incident to Revelation Agents.

“Yes, the incident is true. We do not know the woman. We are still looking for a way to contact the deceased woman’s family. We have reported to the Nkpolu Police Division, and the police are here now,” he said.

As of 5:59 pm on Tuesday, police officers and officials from RIWAMA were making efforts to evacuate the corpse to the mortuary.

The Spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, had yet to respond to enquiries on the incident.

The incident has left many in shock, and efforts are ongoing to identify the woman and notify her family.

The circumstances surrounding her death are still unknown, and investigations are expected to shed more light on the incident.
