Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has rewarded six Super Falcons players from the state with N10m each for their exploits at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The players are Chiamaka Nnadozie, Jennifer Echegini, Osinachi Ohale, Oluchi Oluehi, Chinwendu Ihezuo, and Michelle Alozie.

Assistant coach Ann Chiejine was also rewarded with N10m by the Imo State governor.

Uzodinma doled out the monetary gift when he hosted the players at the Government House in Owerri.

DAILY POST recalls that the Super Falcons defeated Morocco 3-2 in the final of WAFCON 2024 on Sunday.

The players and officials have also been rewarded by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the remarkable feat.

Tinubu gave each player $100,000, a three-bedroom house, and the national honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).
