Unknown assailants kill Fulani herder, injure cattle in Taraba

A Fulani herder has been killed by unknown attackers while grazing his cattle around the Mounga Dosso area in Karim Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba State.

The incident was reported in a post on Monday by security analyst Zagazola Makama on X.

According to the post, the attack happened on Sunday afternoon.

“The victim, identified as Abdullahi Yusufa, was shot in the ribs and hand and also suffered machete cuts to his head,” Makama wrote .

A relative, Ardo Ibrahim Gambo, reported the incident to security agents, who quickly moved to the scene.

Yusufa was found lying lifeless and rushed to the General Hospital, where doctors confirmed him dead.

During the attack, four of his cattle were also shot. Two died instantly, while the other two were so badly injured that they had to be slaughtered.
