Trump Media Expands Truth Social with Crypto Rewards
Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) has rolled out a significant update to Truth Social, adding new tools and crypto-linked rewards as part of its broader push to merge social media with blockchain and digital payments. The upgrade is designed to deepen user engagement while laying the foundation for a more expansive digital ecosystem.
The new features include advanced publishing tools for subscribers to the Patriot Package, who already receive access to the company’s streaming service, Truth+. Premium users can now edit and schedule posts, draft content that syncs across devices, and enjoy other productivity upgrades.
Alongside this, TMTG has launched a rewards system in the form of digital “gems,” which can be earned by engaging with content on Truth Social and Truth+. These gems can later be converted into CRO tokens or additional perks, effectively linking user activity with cryptocurrency incentives.
For non-subscribers, Truth Social is also introducing upgrades such as an AI-powered search that factors in conversation history, group truth titles, and post version history. The rollout is already live for users with auto-update enabled, while others can access the features manually via app stores or the web version.
TMTG’s ambitions extend beyond platform upgrades. In April, CEO Devin Nunes revealed plans for an in-house utility token and digital wallet that would eventually support subscription payments and unlock other ecosystem rewards. While speculation of a Truth Social “memecoin” made headlines in May, Donald Trump Jr. dismissed the rumours as inaccurate.
Earlier this year, the company deepened its crypto ties by partnering with Crypto.com to launch ETFs centred on American securities and digital assets. As part of its $6.4 billion strategy, TMTG also committed to acquiring 684.4 million CRO tokens worth roughly $105 million.
By blending social networking, streaming, fintech, and blockchain, TMTG is positioning Truth Social as more than just a political platform—it’s aiming to be a multi-layered digital hub with crypto rewards at its core.
