Troops of Operation Golden Peace have apprehended two suspected ammunition couriers in the Kwari Biba area of Bauchi State.
The troops also recovered a cache of ammunition during an intelligence-led operation in the area located within the Yankari Game Reserve of the state.
Security expert, Zagazola Makama, revealed via his X handle on Thursday that the operation was conducted on December 18, leading to the arrest of the suspects.
The suspects, Maikudi Danweri, 62, and Abubakar Hamza, 26, were also found to have 204 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, a motorcycle, and a cash sum of N10,000.
The suspects and the items recovered from them, are currently in custody for further investigation.
