Manchester United have approached Carlos Baleba’s camp in a bid to sign the Brighton midfielder this summer.

The Seagulls are however determined the keep Baleba beyond this summer.

As a result, they could set his price tag as high as €100million.

This was revealed by football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, via his X account on Wednesday.

Romano wrote: “Manchester United approached Carlos Baleba’s camp this week to be informed on player’s situation.

“Brighton plan to keep Baleba at the club as price tag would be very high, seen as difficult deal.

“#MUFC plan to try get new midfielder after Šeško deal this summer.”

The Red Devils are looking to add a body in midfield, as they wrap up a deal for RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko.
