Transfer: Man Utd confirm deal for Ogunneye

Manchester United have confirmed that their young defender, Habeeb Ogunneye has joined League Two club Newport County on loan for the 2025/2026 season.

The Red Devils disclosed this in a post via their website on Tuesday.

Ogunneye has been a key player across Man United’s Academy squads over recent seasons.

The 19-year-old right-back represented the club in Premier League 2, the EFL Trophy, UEFA Youth League and FA Youth Cup.

Ogunneye, however, is yet to make his senior competitive bow for Man United.

He did play in last summer’s pre-season friendly against Rosenberg in Norway.

“Best of luck for the campaign, Habeeb,” Man United’s statement read.
