Transfer: Jackson chooses Newcastle as Chelsea confirm deal for Mpome
Chelsea striker, Nicolas Jackson has chosen a move to Newcastle United over other clubs interested in signing him this summer transfer window.
As reported by The Sun UK, the Senegalese wants to leave Chelsea and the Blues look happy to sell him for at least £64 million.
Jackson has been training alone and was left out of Chelsea’s pre-season friendlies victories against Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan over the weekend.
The former Villarreal star appears to be Newcastle’s replacement for Alexander Isak should the Swede join Liverpool this summer.
Meanwhile, in another development, Chelsea confirmed on Monday, that defender Maelys Mpome has completed a permanent move to Brighton.
In a post via their website, the Premier League club wished Mpome the very best for the future as she begins a new chapter in her career.
Mpome joined Chelsea last year, following a four-year stint at Montpellier in her native France.
The 22-year-old made her Chelsea debut when she was introduced as a late substitute during a Champions League group-stage tie against Real Madrid in October 2024.
