Transfer: I know him very well – Maresca on Chelsea target

Chelsea boss, Enzo Maresca, has said that he knows Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho very well.

Sancho has emerged as a transfer target for Chelsea this summer transfer window.

The England international is expected to join Juventus this summer and move to the Blues on a permanent transfer next summer.

When asked about Chelsea’s interest in the England winger, Maresca told reporters at his pre-match press conference ahead of Chelsea’s UEFA Conference League play-off second leg tie against Servette on Thursday night:

“I said that if we have to sign a player just for signing, I don’t want.

“But if we can sign a player who can help us, for sure I want. Jadon is not our player. I know Jadon very well from many years with City.

“I know him very well. But he’s not our player. We’ll see what happens.”
