Transfer: Galatasaray in ‘cold war’ with Napoli over Osimhen

Galatasaray are locked in a “cold war” with Napoli over a possible deal for Victor Osimhen.

The Turkish champions are trying to sign Osimhen on a permanent deal this summer.

The 26-year-old spent last season on loan in Istanbul and is believed to be keen on continuing his career there.

But despite meeting Osimhen’s €75million release clause, Napoli are still holding up the deal.

AS reports that Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, is frustrating the deal by making demands that are not in Osimhen’s contract.

The report claims that apart from specific pay in installments, he is demanding a “20 per cent stake in Osimhen’s subsequent signing and a guarantee that the player would not be sold to Italian clubs for three years”.

It is believed that Galatasaray may take the case to FIFA if they don’t get their way.
