Transfer: Arsenal set to sign Jeremy Jacquet

Arsenal are eyeing a move for highly-rated Rennes defender, Jeremy Jacquet.

The Gunners want to reach an agreement for Jacquet, in case either Jakub Kiwior or Oleksandr Zinchenko leaves.

However, Arsenal are willing to sign the young defender and loan him back to the French club for one year.

This was revealed by football transfer, Fabrizio Romano, on Sunday night.

Jacquet only signed a new contract with Rennes in May this year.

Romano wrote on X: “Understand Arsenal already made an approach for Jérémy Jacquet as new defender in case of exit for Zinchenko or Kiwior.

“Rennes consider the defender NOT for sale this summer, after extending his contract in May.

“#AFC remain keen on Jacquet, also eventually for 2026.”
