Tinubu Celebrates 2Baba At 50

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated music icon, Innocent ‘2Baba’ Idibia, on his 50th birthday.
Tinubu acknowledged 2Baba’s contributions to Nigeria’s entertainment industry and commended his resilience and creativity.
“For more than 20 years, 2Baba serenaded us with soulful melodies, inspired generations, and carried the Nigerian flag with pride worldwide. His legendary song, ‘African Queen’, remains an evergreen classic that introduced the beauty of African music to the world, placing Nigeria at the heart of the global entertainment map,” Tinubu said.
The president further acknowledged 2Baba’s patriotism and promotion of peace, unity, and good governance in the country.
Meanwhile, fans of the singer have continued to celebrate him with goodwill messages.

Earlier, the wife of the music superstar, Natasha Osawaru, took to her Instagram page to pour glowing tributes on her husband as he marked the Golden Jubilee.
Osawaru, the Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo House of Assembly, described the music superstar as “one of the greatest gifts ever.”
She wrote: “Happy birthday to the love of my life. You are 50!!!!! Oh wow!!!!!! You spaced me with 20 years and you look younger than I do…Innocent Ujah Idibia my husband… words cannot express the joy you’ve brought into my life. My joy is complete with you in it.”

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Innocent Idibia, born on September 18, 1975, hails from the Idoma ethnic group in Benue State.
He was part of the influential hip-hop group Plantashun Boyz, which released two albums in the early 2000s before disbanding in 2004.
After the group’s separation, he launched his solo career, releasing his debut album, ‘Face 2 Face’ in 2004.
He, however, gained popularity on the global stage with his 2004 multi-award-winning hit single “African Queen”.
Some of his accolades in music include MTV Europe Music Award, MTV Africa Music Awards, the MOBO Awards, Nigeria Entertainment Awards, among others.
