Three people are feared dead and seven others rescued after a three-storey building collapsed in the Abedi area of Sabon Gari, Kano State.

The incident occurred late Sunday night when the building, which was still under construction, suddenly gave way. Nearby structures were also affected by the collapse.

Rescue teams from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the Federal and Kano State Fire Services, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and the police were deployed to the scene to assist in rescue operations and maintain security.

Officials have expressed concerns that more victims could still be trapped under the debris, as rescue efforts continue.

Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the collapse nor release an official statement on losses sustained so far.
