‘Tehran Will Burn’ If Iran Fires More Missiles, Israel Warns

…IDF Claims Strike Killed Nine Iranian Nuclear Scientists

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has warned that “Tehran will burn” if Iran continues its missile attacks, as hostilities between the two countries escalated into a second day of cross-border strikes.

Speaking on Saturday, Katz declared that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was “turning the citizens of Iran into hostages” by provoking further confrontation.

“If Khamenei continues to fire missiles toward the Israeli home front – Tehran will burn. Especially the residents of Tehran – they will pay a heavy price because of the criminal harm to Israeli civilians,” he warned.

His remarks came as Iranian state media reported fresh Israeli airstrikes on multiple cities in Iran’s west and northwest, including Tabriz in the East Azerbaijan province, and parts of Lorestan, Hamedan, and Kermanshah.

These regions are home to critical military installations and air defence systems.

According to local media outlets Fars and Mehr, two people were killed in an Israeli strike on a missile site in Assadabad, Hamedan province.

The Israeli military has not officially commented on the latest strikes but has maintained that it will continue to target Iranian infrastructure that supports attacks against Israel.

The renewed attacks follow Israel’s massive air campaign on Friday, which targeted key components of Iran’s nuclear and military apparatus.

Among the sites hit were the underground uranium enrichment facility in Natanz, as well as locations in Fordo and Isfahan.

Iranian officials reported at least 78 dead and more than 320 wounded in the initial assault.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) in a post on X claimed that nine senior nuclear scientists and weapons experts were confirmed killed.

“Nine senior scientists and experts responsible for advancing the Iranian regime’s nuclear weapons program,” they wrote on Saturday.

“All of the eliminated scientists and experts, eliminated based on intelligence, were key factors in the development of Iranian nuclear weapons.

“Their elimination is a significant blow to the regime’s ability to acquire weapons of mass destruction,” they stated.

Iran responded with missile attacks on Friday and Saturday, hitting Israeli cities and military targets.

At least one Israeli was killed and dozens were injured in the retaliatory barrage, according to Israeli emergency services.
