Speed Darlington Released On Bail

Nigerian Singer and content creator, Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington has been released on bail.

His release followed an earlier report of his arrest on Tuesday, confirmed by lawyer Deji Adeyanju.

Darlington was arrested and detained on Friday, in Lagos and taken to various formations in the state before he was taken to Abuja.

He was arrested following a petition from his fellow musician, Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy over cyberstalking.

The musician was released to Adeyanju after meeting his bail conditions at the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team’s Department in the Guzape area of Abuja.

Adeyanju disclosed that he had seen the petition written against Darlington by Burna Boy, but noted that there was nothing in the petition to warrant Darlington’s arrest.

Meanwhile, Darlington’s mother, known as Queen, had earlier captured herself in a video pleading to Burnaboy to release her son.

Queen narrated how her son’s gateman informed her that Speed Darlington was taken away by Burna Boy and his team.

“Nigerians please come and help me, my son, Speed Darlington has been missing for over four days now after he made a video about Burna Boy and Diddy.

“Burna Boy came to his house with his squad and police and they arrested Akpi. Please, Nigerians, Akpi is my only son. Please, Nigerians help me and beg Burna Boy to release my son,” she said.
