Rivers Administrator Seeks Legislative Support For Policies

The Rivers State Police Command has announced the arrest of a 23-year-old suspect, Emmanuel Godwin, for the abduction and defilement of a 14-year-old girl.
The suspect was apprehended on April 2, 2025, at approximately 3:20 am, by operatives of the C4I Strike Force during a routine patrol along the Casablanca Axis, GRA Phase-2, Port Harcourt.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, the suspect confessed to abducting the minor and detaining her in a room where three other individuals also engaged in unlawful acts with her for over a week.
She noted that the police are currently working to apprehend the additional suspects who are still at large.
Iringe-Koko reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents, particularly vulnerable minors.
The suspect will be charged to court after investigations are completed, she added.
