Ripple is once again in the headlines—this time, thanks to fresh IPO rumours and a striking valuation estimate from a former company executive. According to Sean McBride, a former director at Ripple, the company’s internal tender offer points to a $30 billion valuation. If Ripple were to go public, it could become one of the biggest IPOs in history.
“Ripple’s new tender offer suggests they are valuing the company at ~$30 billion,” McBride posted on X (formerly Twitter), adding, “If they were to file for an IPO (which they won’t), it would be the largest in history. Unreal!”
While Ripple hasn’t announced any plans to go public shortly, McBride’s comments have stirred speculation among investors and crypto watchers. In a follow-up interaction on X, he estimated that this valuation could translate to a share price of around $175 if Ripple were to launch an IPO.
Though McBride emphasised that Ripple currently has no IPO plans, many view the company as a strong candidate for a future listing, especially now that it’s gaining regulatory clarity in key markets and expanding its international footprint.
