Retail Traders Can Now Earn From BTC Options on Binance With 20% Fee Discount
Binance has rolled out Bitcoin Options Writing to all eligible users, expanding access to advanced trading strategies that were previously limited to experienced traders. Starting August 4, verified Binance users can now sell BTC call or put options, earning premiums in exchange for taking on market risk.
This new feature, part of Binance’s expanding derivatives suite, is designed to help users express market views, hedge their positions, or generate passive income through strategies like covered calls and cash-secured puts.
The options are settled in USDT, providing better clarity for profit/loss tracking and reducing volatility in collateral management. Binance also claims its BTC options have some of the industry’s most competitive fees.
To celebrate the launch, Binance is offering a 20% discount on maker and taker fees for all BTC Options Writing trades, applicable to all VIP tiers. The promotional offer aims to encourage more traders to explore options strategies.
While Bitcoin options are now widely available, Binance noted that options writing for other major cryptocurrencies like ETH, BNB, XRP, SOL, and DOGE will remain restricted to a select group of users for now.
To start writing BTC options on Binance, users must first verify their Binance account and activate Long/Short Mode in the Options trading settings.
With Bitcoin trading near yearly highs, Binance’s new feature allows both retail and institutional traders to adopt sophisticated strategies with user-friendly tools and regulatory safeguards.
